The Central Electoral Board has resolved to extend the deadline to leave mail-in votes at Post Offices to Monday 18 December at 2 pm

The timeframe to request to vote by post remains the same: from 28 October to 11 December

The Central Election Board has resolved to extend the deadline within which all voters who vote from Spain by correspondence may send in their vote. Since the deadline of 17 December set initially falls on a Sunday, the Electoral Board has decided to extend that deadline to the following Monday, 18 December, during the Post Offices’ usual hours, and until 2 pm at the latest.

It should be borne in mind that Post Offices in small towns may be open to the public fewer hours per day and may close before 2 pm. This means that voters must previously check the timetables of the Post Office in the town where they wish to deposit their vote.

On the other hand, this change only affects voters’ timeframe for leaving votes by post, once all the documentation has been received. The calendar to request to vote by correspondence has not changed and ends 11 December.
