A total of 5,553,983 persons will be able to vote to the elections in the parliament of Catalonia of the next 21 December

According to data of the INE, 136,300 voters will take part in some electoral elections for the first time in having attained the adult age. The 224,844 resident Catalans can request its vote abroad until the 22nd November.

A total of 5,553,983 Catalans are called to take part in the elections in Catalan Parliament summoned for the next 21 December, according to data of the National Institute of Statistics (INE). This represents an increase of 0.77% (43,185 voters) with respect to the elections that took place on the 27th September of 2015. In this figure 136,300 new voters are included who will take part in it for the first time, after having fulfilled 18 years from the former vote.

Of the total of voters, 5,329,139 live in Catalonia and 224,844 abroad. In accordance with the electoral calendar, the persons with residence out of Catalonia who want to take part in the elections of the 21D, they have to request its vote to the Provincial Delegation of the Office of the Electoral Roll corresponding to its inscription, until the 22nd November. The requests can be sent through internet. To make it, it is necessary to have an electronic certificate recognized by the Electronic Seu of the INE or to use the key sent with the official form. This form is also available to the External consulates and web pages of the Ministry of Matters and of Cooperation and of the Office of the Electoral Roll.
