Over 3,500 queries dealt with

The Catalan Government has provided the public with a number of channels where they can get information about the election. In one month these channels have received more than 3,500 enquiries. Most of them have been about voting by post in Spain and from abroad and the electoral register.

The main channel is the website www.parlament2015.cat, which brings together full information about the electoral calendar, FAQs, regulations, the makeup of the electoral commissions, the directory of the commissions, statistics, etc. As a new feature this time round the website includes seven video tutorials on the following topics: members of polling stations committees, voting in person, voting by post, voting by Catalans who live abroad on a permanent basis, voting by Catalans who are temporarily abroad, accessible voting for the blind and voting for disabled or ill people who cannot travel. The website is available in four languages: Catalan, Occitan, Spanish and English.

In addition to the election website, the public can learn about electoral procedures and have their questions answered on social media and by email (eleccions.governacio@gencat.cat), mobile phone and landline.

Another new feature is the option of using the Telegram instant messaging app for mobile devices to request information and ask questions about the election. Furthermore, and as on other occasions, enquires are also being answered on the 012 helpline and by the Call Centre set up by the Ministry of Governance and Institutional Relations on 93 551 59 90.
