50 tentative candidacies submitted to the elections to the Parliament of Catalonia scheduled for the 21st of December

A total of 16 candidacies are in Barcelona, 11 in Girona, 11 in Lleida and 12 in Tarragona. A total of 10 more candidacies have been presented than in the elections held on the 27th of September 2015. The announced candidacies will be published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia (DOGC) on the 25th of November.

On the 19th of November, the Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia (DOGC) and the Spanish Official Gazette (BOE) have published the list with the 50 tentative candidacies running in the Parliament of Catalonia elections to be held on the 21st of December of this year. Sixteen candidacies are running in Barcelona, 11 in Girona, 11 in Lleida and 12 in Tarragona.

The 50 candidacies running in these elections is more than those who announced their candidacies in the elections held on the 27th of September 2015, when a total of 40 registered in Barcelona, 11 in Girona, 10 in Lleida and 10 in Tarragona.

Deadline to rectify irregularities and announce the definitive candidacies


In accordance with the election calendar, the political groups that have submitted candidacies will have until next Thursday, the 23rd of November, to rectify any irregularities found by the Provincial Election Committees (abbreviated JEPs in Catalan). After this period, the JEPs will announce the definitive candidacies, which will be published in the DOGC this Saturday, the 25th of November.
