How did the Spanish public administrations reduce their deficit?

The Spanish central government based its fiscal adjustment on obtaining new revenues through tax increases while the autonomous communities reduced their expenditure by 14%.

Catalan economy records 3.4% GDP growth at 2015, the highest since the crisis

Catalonia's growth stands above that of Spain (3.2%) and the euro area average (1.6%) thanks to the dynamism of domestic demand and the good performance of exports.

Catalan exports of goods to international markets reach all-time high in 2015

With annual growth of 6.1%, Catalan exports account for 25.5% of total foreign sales in Spain.

Catalonia's employment rate increased in 2015 to euro area levels

63.1% of the population in Catalonia are employed, compared to an average 64.3% in the euro area.
